Have you ever wanted to write a fantasy novel? What about a mystery? a romance? A young adult story? Writing a genre novel is a great way to spend NaNoWriMo, and there are a million ways to tell the same type of story. This session will help you navigate the worlds of specific genres and the ways genre has become part of the literary mainstream. Aspects of genre can be used in almost any type of creative writing, and this event will introduce you to some awesome resources about genres and how to use them effectively in your own work. Think you know all about genre? Think again.
